1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to our website, the translation workspace, the website translator snippet, the API, helpdesk integrations and any related services (together, the "Service"). It applies to visitors, account holders, reviewers invited to a workspace, and the people whose messages pass through chat translation.
2. Information we collect
Account information
Name, work email, company, role, industry, the languages and services you are interested in, and billing details when you subscribe.
Customer content
Text, files, strings, web pages and chat messages you submit for translation, along with the translations, glossaries, tone settings, reviewer edits and translation memory created from them.
Usage information
Word counts, job history, API request logs, device and browser type, IP address and pages visited, used to run, secure and bill the Service.
3. How we use information
- To translate your content and deliver the results you ask for.
- To apply your glossary, tone settings and translation memory to future jobs in your workspace.
- To create and secure your account, send login details and service notices.
- To count words, calculate usage and send invoices.
- To answer support requests and messages sent through the contact form.
- To detect abuse, prevent fraud and keep the Service available.
4. Your content and AI training
Customer content is never used to train AI models that serve other customers. Your translation memory and glossaries are used only inside your own workspace.
AI translation can make mistakes. Legal, medical, financial and safety-critical content should always be reviewed by a qualified person before use.
6. Security
Content is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest. Access inside our team is limited to people who need it to operate the Service, and is logged. Enterprise workspaces can enable single sign-on and store data in India.
7. Retention and deletion
Customer content is kept while your account is active so that memory and glossaries keep working. You can delete individual files, jobs, memories or your entire workspace at any time. Deleted content is removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days. Some billing records are kept longer where the law requires.
8. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent for optional communication, at any time. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the GDPR or a similar law applies, you also have the rights given by that law. To make a request, write to us through the Contact Us page.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify account owners by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that means you accept the updated policy.
